Lead developer Tyler Olmstead will release v161 on Tuesday evening, November 5th.  Updates include:



  1. Appointment blocks have tooltips for info at a glance
  2. Shop Settings for Part Data can be made a Required field
  3. Self- Serve API Connections
  4. Category Report contains detailed metrics
  5. Bug Fix: Next 7 Tab ordered by Calendar Date




#1 - Appointment blocks have tooltips for info at a glance


We have added some great functionality to the Appointment Blocks in the Scheduler. That will make it much easier to find information about each appointment quickly and without leaving the Scheduler. Look for the magnifying glass icon to the top right hand corner of the Appointment block. When you hover over the icon a tooltip will hover next to the appointment block. You can see the Appointment Date & Time, Technician Name, Appointment Description/Notes, customer's name, email, and phone number. If a vehicle is asscociated with the RO then you will see Year, make, model, plate number, and fleet number.    




#2 - Shop Settings for Part Data can be made a Required field


You have the option to enforce specific part requirements across individual SKUs or Repair Orders.

#3 - Self- Serve API Connections


Previously someone in Shop-Ware would connect your account to a third-party service, such as FullThrottle or RepairPal. We have made this task one step simpler by giving you access to that action. 


Simply navigate to Account Settings then to the API Connection tab and you will find a list of the third-party services (also known as API connections or API Integrations). 


Select each third-party service that you would like to have access to your Shop-Ware data. When you no longer want the service to have access, simply un-check the box.

#4 - Category Report contains detailed metrics


We recently added the Category Report tab to help you gain insights into your Service Categories within your business. With this release we are adding detailed metrics to each Category pane, you can find them below the horizontal line. They include Billed Hours, Effective Labor Rate, Gross Profit, Gross Profit %, Gross Profit per Hour, Parts Gross Profit %, Labor Gross Profit %, and Sublet Gross Profit %.  







#5 - Bug Fix: Next 7 Tab ordered by Calendar Date


When using the Estimates/Scheduler and viewing the Next 7 tab, there was a bug that would order next 7 days in numerical order. We have corrected the bug for it to display by Calendar Date.
