Lead developer Tyler Olmstead released v175 on Wednesday evening, February 26th. Updates include:
- Vehicles have a Production Date, Expiration Date, and Color
- Work Order parts display their location on the RO
#1 - Vehicles have a Production Date, Expiration Date, and Color
Happy day! You can now save a vehicle's production date, registration expiration date, and paint color directly to its record!
On the RO you will see added fields for each value in the Vehicle Information box:
By default a vehicle's Production Date is set to January of its model year:
By default a vehicle's registration Expiration Date is set to today:
To change the years and months, click the Year/Month area at the top of the picker:
In each case you will need to pick a Year, Month, and then Day Date to submit the picker and save the result.
NOTE: Right now this information is available on the RO only. It is not yet available for reference on the customer profile or vehicle history page. This will be addressed in a future release. Near term you can expect to see Production Date in ordering workflow, Expiration Date in Closed Sales reports for marketing purposes, and color for reference in Work In Progress workflow.
#2 - Work Order parts display their location on the RO
Previously staff required permission to the RO toolbar to access the Parts Summary Modal, and therefore part location. This has been enhanced so part location appears on every part on the RO, appended after the part number:
This information is displayed to all staff and only on Work Orders. It does not appear on Estimates or Invoices, or to the customer (or the printed RO).
This allows support staff and techs to quickly find and pick parts without special financial exposure or extra steps.
This concludes Release Notes for Version 175. Enjoy!
